Upcycled Kimono Wide Pants OTERA

Upcycled Kimono Wide Pants OTERA

This wide pants is a one-of-a-kind piece crafted from a vintage Japanese Black Tomesode kimono, with a delicate hand drawing of a temple hiding in a whimsical forest.

A black Tomesode kimono is a highly formal garment in Japanese culture. Made from silk, it is often worn by married women at weddings and special ceremonies. Sadly, its use is declining.
But no worries, we will give it a second life. Japanese kimonos are traditionally made from long rectangular fabric panels. These pants are crafted by sewing these panels together. The waist is comfortably adjustable with two fine elastic bands. It also has one pocket, designed to fit the modern lifestyle.

❋Care❋
This item is made of 100% silk. We strongly recommend dry cleaning to preserve its delicate texture and sheen. Normal washing may alter the fabric's characteristics.
Silk can develop wrinkles if folded for long periods, which can be easily smoothed out with ironing. Use a low-temperature setting. To protect the silk from direct heat, press from the reverse side with a thin cotton cloth.
